What is a Micro-Peel?
A Micro-Peel is a skin application cream created for those looking for a shorter down time and a less expensive treatment than a traditional Skin Peeling. It stimulates the skin’s natural renewal process. It also encourages the exfoliation of dead skin cells and debris while. Candy tailors each Micro-Peel to your individual skin type and long-term goals.
How is a Micro-Peel different from a traditional Skin Renewal Peel?
Please don’t confuse a Micro-Peel with a traditional Skin Peeling. There is literally no comparison. A Micro-Peel is a mild peeling which will lightly exfoliate the skin leaving it refreshed and soft. Much less expensive than a traditional Skin Peeling, it also has a faster turnaround time.
What results will I see?
A Micro-peel is designed to refine skin texture damaged by time and environment. It’s also helpful with skin conditions such as acne. The procedure also assists in smoothing fine lines and evening out skin discoloration.
How many will I need?
With each additional Micro-Peel procedure, you will notice incremental improvements in the overall appearance of the skin. For maximum results, we recommend a series of Six Micro-Peel procedures. Depending on your skin type, Candy will schedule them in intervals anywhere from two to six weeks apart.
What about my downtime?
For about a week, the skin will undergo a renewal process, lightly shedding its dead outer layer. Depending on your skin, you may or may not experience actual peeling. If peeling occurs, it usually begins four to five days following the treatment and lasts for approximately three days. In addition, as your skin’s renewing you may experience mild itching, dryness and redness.
How long will it take?
You’ll need to be in the clinic for at least 30 minutes. Candy may administer just the Micro Peeling. Or she may recommend a facial treatment or deep pore cleansing treatment first. Every face is different. Candy will customize your treatment to your skin.
